Thank you for visiting our 'UK Website Design
Services' Website and welcome to our Home Page and our Website.
On this page and the other pages on our
Website you will find full details of what we do as Website Designers and
Constructors and more importantly what we can
do for you as a Small Business or Company or an Individual requiring a
presence on the World Wide Web.
Although we will do our very best
to talk in none Technical Terms at all times we will occasional need to use
Technical Terms from time to time. Where we need to do this you will find
an explanation of these Technical Terms on our 'Questions and Answers
Page' along with answers to many other questions queries that we regularly receive
from prospective and current Customers.
Below you will find a list
of the main topics on this Page. To go straight to a topic please click on
the topic in the list. To come back to this part of the Page afterwards
please click your 'Back Button' or the links marked 'Back to the Top of
the List'. Thank you.

The types of
Small
Businesses, Companies and Individuals we Design, Construct and Maintain
Websites for.
Who will actually Design,
Construct and Maintain your Website?
What
will we need from
you to help us to Design, Construct and Maintain your Website efficiently
and economically.
What happens if you do not
like the Website we Design and Construct for you. Or putting it another
way 'What have you got to lose by seeing what we can do for you'?
Do
you really
need to have a Website?
Special Note for
Foreign (None UK) Website Owners and
Foreign (None UK) Prospective Customers.
Our area of
specialization in Website Design, Construction and Maintenance.
Our area of specialization
is Designing, Constructing and Maintaining small to Medium sized Websites of typically
four, five, six or seven
pages upwards. Similar to our own Website at a reasonable all in cost that will not break
your Bank Account.
Obviously should your Business, Company or Enterprise
grow your Website
requirements may also grow and our costing structure is designed
to accommodate this economically for you. Full details of our clear all inclusive costing
structure, which can be
paid monthly by Standing Order, can be found on our 'Website
Costs Page'.
We can if so required also
include within your Website a facility by which your Customers can employ your
services or order Products directly
from you by post. This by printing off an Order Form from your
Website to post to you with payment. Of course there is nothing to stop
your Customers just ringing you using a number on your Website to place an
order with you by Credit Card or to forward on payment afterwards.
If the above suits your
requirements and
you require a small to medium size Website at a reasonable cost, with all
initial, ongoing and additional costs fully detailed upfront with no
surprises later. Then you
are in the right place and we look forward to hearing from you and being of service to you.
However, if you are wanting a
very large Website and/or one to sell products and/or services through using Credit Card
facilities and a Shopping Basket and that is Data Base driven then we are not
the people for you.
Although we can
Design and Construct these types of Websites we very much prefer not to do
so these days. As these types of Websites can prove to be far too expensive
for small to medium size businesses. Both in the high initial design and construction costs
including the additional costs for all of the additional special coding required for these types of
Websites. As well as the large ongoing maintenance and editing costs.
Also due to the large
expense of setting up these types of Websites and the large ongoing costs
we have found that many Individuals and Small to Medium size Businesses
often do not find them to be very profitable in the long term. Especially
when Merchant Fees, Merchant Retentions and Merchant claw backs on
fraudulent transactions are taken into account, all of which eat into
their often tight profit margins.
No doubt you will have
been 'shopping around' for a Company to look after your On Line needs.
This being the case it is likely you will have
found that many Website Design Companies are either mainly interested in
building large intricate expensive Websites or want to charge a small
fortune for designing, constructing and maintaining smaller ones.
It may be that you decide
to utilise the services of one of these Companies rather than ourselves,
in which case we wish you all the very best with your Website and On Line
experiences.
May we however by way of friendly advice suggest that before
proceeding that you have them clearly stipulate any and all additional
costs involved. Such as ongoing Server and Data Transfer Costs, and
especially what their costs are for ongoing maintenance, editing and
updating as these can sometimes be rather expensive. You may even find
that you often have to do the ongoing updating and editing yourself.

The types of Small
Businesses, Companies and Individuals we Design, Construct and Maintain
Websites for.
The types of Customers we
are best suited for as Website Designers and Constructors are those of you
wanting a
Website for one or more of the following main reasons and/or purposes:
-
To generate you new
Customer Enquiries, Leads or Sales or similar.
-
To provide an On Line
presence which your existing and new Customers can use to keep up to date with
your existing and/or new Products and/or Services.
Thereby providing an additional service to your new and existing
Customers as well as giving them further opportunities to do more business with
you.
-
To provide you with an On
Line 'Brochure' to support your other Advertising and Promotional
activities by providing your Customers with further and more detailed information
on your Products and/or Services before deciding to buy, or helping them to decide to
buy from you or use your Services.
-
To provide Customers and
prospective Customers more detailed and fuller information about your
Business, Company or Enterprise and of course you and your Products
and/or Services.
-
To provide an Online means by which New and Existing
Customers can order from you by telephone or by post by printing off an
Order Form, which they then post to you with payment for their Order.
-
To provide the additional
credibility to your Business, Company or Enterprise that having a
Website creates. As most people and Businesses these days expect
anyone they are doing business with to have a Website. Even if it is
simply a straight forward basic information and point of contact Website
providing a service to their existing and prospective new Customers.
Of course there are many
other reasons and/or purposes why you would want your own Website and we
can see no reason why we would not be able to be of service to you. Please
be assured though that if we would not be suitable for you we will be the
first to tell you. Why waste everyone's time? Back
to the Top of the List.
Who will actually Design,
Construct and Maintain your Website?
From the moment you first
contact us by email or telephone you will be communicating or talking with
one of our Project Managers. Providing you feel comfortable and are happy
with this Project Manager he or she will from thereon in be fully responsible to
you for all aspects of your Website Design, Construction and Maintenance.
Including costing, billing and on going editing and maintenance.
Bearing in mind that we
like yourselves are a small to medium sized business we pride ourselves on
the personal touch this method of working brings in that you know who you
need to contact at all times whatever you need to discuss regarding any
aspect of your Website.
Our Project Managers are
all mature people experienced in the world of Business, Promotion and
Marketing and all talk in English and not in technical computer terms
that can often leave you unclear and confused about what is going on
and whether you are going to get what you want.
Our Project Managers are
all equally skilled at discussing and evaluating exactly what you want and need from your
Website and how you want your Website to look and feel and they are adept
at discussing these things in none technical terms that you will be able
to understand.
Putting it simply our
Project Managers are straight forward down to earth mature people who are
excellent at communicating and dealing with people from all walks of life.
Bearing in mind that we are a small business and happy being so and we are
on the same wavelength as the one person enterprise or a small to medium
size business and understand the time and financial pressures and restricted budget your are often
working under.
Back
to the Top of the List.
What will we need from
you to help us to Design, Construct and Maintain your Website efficiently
and economically.
O.K. The first rule of
thumb you need to consider here is that your Website can be very much
likened to an On Line version of a glossy brochure. The main difference
being that where the amount of content on individual page of an actual
printed brochure may be limited to how much you can get on one page due to
the physical size of a page. This does not apply to a Website Page.
As for
example this particular Page on our Website that you are reading now,
which is quite lengthy but has been broken broken down into smaller
sections with links taking you to different subjects and parts of the
page. Compared to our 'Contact Us Page'
which is much smaller in length because there is less information needed on it.
However, having said that
your Website does not want to be one big single Page covering every single
aspect, topic and subject of your Enterprise or Business. But a number of
clearly defined set of Pages with clear topics and areas of interest to
the reader such as a 'Home Page' like this one of ours you are reading
now, a 'Products Page' or a 'Our Services Page', a 'Prices Page' or 'Costs
Page', a 'Contact Details Page' etc.
If you feel your
existing and new Customers would benefit from a 'Questions and Answers
Page' this could well be of great benefit to both you and your Customers
in satisfying any questions or queries your Customers may have before
contacting or buying from you. If you run an organization that is actively
recruiting staff you may wish to include a 'Vacancies Page'.
Also if you have come a
cross a Website you like the look of because of it's layout and colours
etc. whilst you were browsing on the Web. Let your Project Manager know as
this can be a great help as a starting point as to what you are looking
for for your own Website.
So, having said all of the
above, what will your Project Manager actually need from you to help us do
the best job we can for you? Obviously a little forethought from yourself
as to what 'Pages' and the types of 'Pages' you feel your Website will
need. Your Project Manager will also come up with some ideas and
suggestions too, so don't worry it will not be all up to you.
We will of course require
some basic content by way of what you actually want 'printed' on the Pages
of your Website. This can be either a basic draught for us to add to and
work with or
the actual wording you want on the Pages. Bearing in mind that we may need
to slightly amend some of the wording to make it Search Engine friendly.
If you are thinking what does that mean, remember to check out our 'Questions and Answers
Page' where various Technical Terms are explained.
Bearing in mind that you
know your Business or Enterprise better than anyone so the better and the
more detailed your input on the 'Selling Points' and 'Benefits' etc of
your Business or Enterprise. The better your Project Manager can do on
your behalf in encouraging prospective Customers to do
business with you rather than with your competitors.
If you will be wanting some pictures on your Website we will of course need
these in one form or other. Don't worry if
they are actual photo prints, we can scan these for your Website and
return them to you.
So how do you get this
content and subject matter to us?
Wording can be sent to us
by one or more of the following means:
Pictures and Images such as
a Company Logo for use on your Website can be
sent to us by one or more of the following means:
-
Actual printed photographs
by post. Please ensure that you still have the negatives before sending
the actual prints. If you have no negatives please have the photographs
duplicated before sending them to us.
-
Jpeg images by attaching
these to emails.
-
Jpeg images on a CD Rom by
post. This can often be the most convenient and efficient way as we will
have the basic raw images in their full file size as taken by the
Digital Camera. This allows us more scope as we can if needed then edit
and enhance the basic raw image giving us more scope to produce better
images for your Website. Note: Please retain a copy of the CD Rom for
yourself.
-
Where the images are in Gif
format by the same methods as Jpegs above.
All of the details you
will need for posting and emailing items to
us are on our 'Contact Us Page'.
The general layout, types
of 'Pages' and colours etc. will in general be discussed over the
telephone. Although we have often done this by email in the past. You
could of course leave most of this to your Project Manager's discretion as this is
part of what he or she does best. To close this section may
we say that the more input you can provide as to how you feel you want
your Website to look and how you actually want your Website to work for
you before your Project Manager starts work on it the better the job your
Project Manager can do for you. Back
to the Top of the List.
What happens if you do not
like the Website we Design and Construct for you. Or putting it another
way 'What have you got to lose by seeing what we can do for you'?
Well hopefully you will
like your Website and it will work and do it's job for you. Otherwise we and your Project Managers aren't up to
scratch and maybe we should be looking to find something else to do to occupy our days!
Being serious though......
Frankly if the Website
your Project Manager Designs and Constructs for you is not to your liking
and/or does not work for you then we are the big losers and not you.
To explain. For a Standard
4 Page Website your initial first month's outlay is going to be just £75,
which is treble the then ongoing monthly cost of £25. This initial first
month's outlay as
you will appreciate will not in any way cover the initial set up costs of
your Website which includes our own initial financial outlay and the time spent liaising
with you and Designing and Constructing your Website amongst other
expenditures.
So the most you can lose is
just £75, we stand to lose much more!
We have to get it right
because we look at our Customer relationships as being similar to a long
term partnership with our Customers. We and our Project Managers are in
this business for the long term benefits as you are in your own Business
or Enterprise. So the better the job we do for you the better we do in the long
term. The better the job your Website does for you the better we will do
in the long term.
What's good for you is
good for us! What's bad for you is bad
for us!
The same thought,
consideration and care will go into designing and constructing your
Website as has gone into our own.
What more can we say?

our all inclusive Website Costs please go

Costs Page'.

Do you really
need to have a Website?
There will be some of you
that although you are reading this Website may be skeptical as to whether
you actually need to your spend hard earned cash on your own Website and may be
hesitant in taking your interest further. May
we therefore respectively say to those of you of this mind that most
people these days who are connected to the Internet (and that's the
majority these days) often prefer to make 'first contact' with a prospective
Product or Service Provider via the Internet by using email rather than by
telephone. As they
find this much more convenient for them to fit in with their busy lives as
well as much more efficient for them as Customers. Whether they are
reading your Website through browsing the Web or in response to your
own advertising and/or promotion via other mediums. Also
worth considering is that if prospective Customers are looking for your Product or Service On Line and you are not
there they will never find you! One way of looking at
having your own Website is that of it being an economical additional tool
by which you can provide additional Customer satisfaction and service and gain new
Customers. As well as your Website providing an On Line back up in of support your other promotional
activities such as advertisements or leaflets etc. All of
which can only do good for your Business overall and in the long term. Please also consider this. Even though your usual place of business is closed and Customers and prospective Customers are unable to reach you by normal
means other than by leaving telephone messages or faxing. Your Website
would be
working for you 24 hours a day, 365
days a year. By providing an accepted means of contact 24 hours a day, 365
days a year.
As well as also providing a
constant and always open virtual 'shop window' for your Business or
Enterprise promoting
and providing information about your Business, Service and/or Products 24 hours a day, 365
days a year. Where
else could you get all of these benefits for less than £1 a day?

Special Note for
Foreign (None UK) Website Owners and
Foreign (None UK) Prospective Customers.
Most of our
Customers are and will be UK based. However, as we are mainly an internet
based company we can also Design, Construct and Maintain Websites for Foreign Customers that require a
Website in the English Language, or an additional Website in the English
Language as well as the one you may have in your own Native Language. Your
Website, or second Website, could of course have a Domain Name ending in
".co.uk" (or similar) or one relevant to your own Country.
You may also be interested to know that we provide a
somewhat unusual service of what we call "Englishising" a Website. An example of
this would be one of the many Foreign owned and run Websites such as
'Property To Buy Abroad' or 'Holiday Property to Let' Websites that have been
created by a native of
the Website Owner's home country but in the English Language.
Occasionally and with all due respect
some of the Grammar and phrasing used has not translated very well into the English
Language and can often either be misunderstood or has no meaning to
an
English speaking reader, or in the worst case situation could actually be deemed as
misleading albeit that this is unintentional by the Website Owner.
Our "Englishising"
service in simple terms is where we will go through your Website (or parts
of it) and suggest alternative 'wording' and 'phrasing' that is
understandable to an English speaking reader.
For information of how we operate this service
without us needing access to your actual Website Coding or Servers please email us for details by
clicking here: Overseas@UKWebsiteDesignServices.com.
Please include in your email your basic contact details and your Website Address. Thank you.
